The easiest way to try mixing jagua gel

Our Jagua Powder Mixing Kit is measured precisely to make a perfect jagua gel every time. The jagua powder is 100% pure Genipa americana with an organic, skin-safe preservative, and gives a natural blue-black stain that looks like a real tattoo, with no PPD or so-called black henna.

What is in the kit

5g jagua premix powder pouch
2ml lavender essential oil
Measuring pipette
1 piping bag
4 empty applicator cones
1 pair of gloves
Mixing instructions

You will also need

A non-metallic mixing bowl, a spatula, water, a blender (recommended) or hand whisk, and a stocking or pop sock to strain the gel for a smoother finish.

How to use

Mix the premix powder with water and the lavender essential oil, following the instructions in the kit.
Blend or whisk until smooth, then strain the gel through the stocking.
Spoon the gel into the piping bag and use it to fill the cones.
Wearing the gloves, apply the gel to clean, dry skin with no lotion or oil.

Results

Leave jagua on the skin for about 1 to 2 hours, or until dry, then wash it off gently. The design looks faint at first, then darkens to blue-black over 48 to 72 hours and usually lasts one to two weeks, so apply it two to three days before an event. Do a small patch test first, and do not use jagua if you have a citrus or tropical fruit allergy.

Who is it for?

The premix already contains xanthan gum, so there is nothing extra to buy or measure. That makes the jagua mixing kit ideal for beginners, or for artists who want to test jagua before buying in larger quantities. Freeze any gel you will not use within a few days. When you are ready for more, move on to jagua powder in 10g and 100g packs, or skip the mixing with ready-made jagua gel. Every jagua mixing kit includes full instructions.
