Aloe vera gel: a light, cooling moisturiser

Our aloe vera gel is a light moisturiser that feels cool and refreshing on the skin. Use it after a day in the sun, on dry skin, or simply to keep skin moisturised and smelling lovely.

Choose plain unscented, or scented with lavender, lavender and eucalyptus, lavender and rosemary, or rose geranium essential oils, in 150ml or 250ml bottles.

Why use aloe vera gel?

• Cooling: feels refreshing on warm skin.
• Light: absorbs quickly without feeling greasy.
• Versatile: use on the face, body, hands and feet.

How to use

1. Apply a small amount to clean skin.
2. Smooth it in gently until absorbed.
3. Reapply as often as you like.

For an extra-cooling feel on a hot day, keep the aloe vera gel in the fridge.

Aloe vera gel and henna

Avoid applying the gel to skin just before henna, as any lotion or gel on the skin stops the paste staining well. Once your henna paste has been removed and the stain has had a day to develop, aloe vera gel is a pleasant way to keep the skin around the design moisturised.

When to use it

• After a day in the sun or on holiday.
• After shaving or waxing, on unbroken skin.
• As a light daily moisturiser for the face and body.
• On dry hands and elbows during the winter.

Make your own blend

For a richer feel, mix a little with a few drops of a carrier oil before applying. If you prefer to make fresh gel, our aloe vera powder can be mixed with water as needed.

Good to know

• Do a patch test first if you have sensitive skin.
• Keep away from the eyes.
• For external use only.

Storage

Keep the lid tightly closed and store in a cool place, away from direct sunlight.
