Carrot Bag
A strong carrot bag for henna: store bulk henna paste and fill cones.
Carrot bag for henna paste
A carrot bag for henna is used for storing bulk henna paste or jagua gel. It stores easily in the fridge or freezer and makes filling henna cones much easier.
Made from strong, durable plastic. Folded over at the top, they can also be heat sealed.
Why use a carrot bag for henna?
- Cleaner filling: pipe paste straight into cones or bottles without mess.
- Easy storage: lies flat in the freezer and thaws quickly.
- Less waste: squeeze out every last bit of paste.
How to use it
- Spoon your freshly mixed and strained paste into the carrot bag, then fold over or heat seal the top.
- Store in the fridge for a few days, or in the freezer for longer.
- When you are ready to fill cones, snip a small hole in the tip of the bag.
- Insert the tip into the open end of a cone or applicator bottle and squeeze gently to fill it.
Tips
- Label each bag with the date and the mix you used.
- Squeeze out the air before sealing to keep the paste fresher.
- Thaw a frozen carrot bag for henna at room temperature, or overnight in the fridge.
- Keep the bag cool while you work so the paste stays smooth.
Filling applicator bottles
Carrot bags are also the easiest way to fill applicator bottles. Remove the bottle tip, insert the end of the bag and squeeze slowly so no air pockets form. Replace the tip and the bottle is ready to use.
Order a few spare carrot bags so you can store different mixes separately.
Carrot bags work just as well for jagua gel, so you can use the same method for both.
