Fresh jagua henna paste (hengua)

Our jagua henna paste is henna paste mixed with jagua liquid for a darker stain, ready for you to fill your own cones or bottles. Store it in the freezer until needed. We strain it through a fine cloth before packaging, so it is ready for fine work.

Also known as hengua, it combines the warmth of henna with the blue-black of jagua, giving a deep brown-black stain that is darker than henna alone.

Choose your mix

  • 80% water / 20% jagua liquid (the price shown)
  • 50% water / 50% jagua liquid
  • 100% jagua liquid

The more jagua liquid in the mix, the darker and cooler the final stain.

To suit everyone, we do not add essential oil or sugar. You can add these when it arrives. If in doubt, email us before ordering.

How to use jagua henna paste

  1. Thaw the paste in the fridge or at room temperature, then fill your cones or applicator bottles.
  2. Apply to clean, dry skin with no lotion or oil.
  3. Leave on for at least 2 to 4 hours, then scrape or wipe it off gently.

The design develops over 48 to 72 hours. Do a small patch test first.

Fill a small test cone first so you can check the consistency before a booking.

Storage

Keep the paste frozen until needed. Divide it into smaller portions before freezing so you only thaw what you need, as repeated thawing and refreezing weakens the stain.
