Everything you need to try henna for the first time

Our henna starter kit is made for people who have never mixed henna before. It has everything you need to make your own fresh henna paste and start drawing designs.

What’s in the kit

  • 50g natural henna powder, finely sifted and body art quality
  • 5 henna applicator cones
  • 10ml essential oil for a darker stain
  • Full mixing and application instructions

You will also need

Lemon juice (not supplied).

How it works

  1. Mix the henna powder with lemon juice and the essential oil, following the instructions in the kit.
  2. Cover the paste and leave it somewhere warm for dye release.
  3. Fill the cones and practise your designs on clean, dry skin.
  4. Leave the paste on for at least 4 to 6 hours, or overnight, then scrape it off.

The stain starts bright orange and deepens to a rich reddish brown over 24 to 48 hours.

Tips for beginners

  • Practise on paper first to get used to the pressure needed.
  • Keep a cotton bud handy to tidy any mistakes before the paste dries.
  • Start with simple dots, lines and swirls before trying full designs.

How many designs?

One kit makes enough paste for plenty of hand and foot designs, so you can practise and share with friends.

Storage
