Micropore tape for sealing henna
Hypoallergenic micropore tape for henna, used to seal the paste onto the skin. It protects the design while the paste is on and helps give a darker stain.
Henna stains best when the paste stays moist and in contact with the skin for as long as possible. Wrapping the design keeps the paste in place, so you can leave it on for longer, even overnight.
Why use micropore tape for henna?
- Darker stain: keeps the paste in contact with the skin for longer.
- Protects the design: stops the paste smudging or flaking off on clothes and bedding.
- Gentle: hypoallergenic and breathable.
- Easy to tear: no scissors needed.
How to use
- Let the henna paste dry until it is no longer sticky to the touch.
- For extra hold, mist it lightly with henna sealant and let it dry again.
- Apply strips of tape over the design, pressing gently so the tape sits flat on the paste.
- Leave on for several hours, or overnight, then peel off the tape and scrape away the dried paste.
Micropore tape for henna is especially useful on hands and feet, where the paste is most likely to rub off.
Tips
- Peel the tape off slowly, in the direction of hair growth.
- Avoid water on the design for the first few hours after removing the paste.
- Do not wrap the tape tightly around fingers or wrists.
Other ways to seal henna
Some people prefer to wrap the design loosely in toilet tissue or a cotton glove instead of tape. Tape gives a closer seal and stays in place better overnight, so it is the choice of many professional artists. One roll seals many designs.
Size
5.06cm wide x 10m roll.
